Our vision for Greenhill Estate was simple: to offer first-home buyers a more affordable option while still providing access to leading amenities within a community setting.
Strategically located in the growing township of Wallan, we acquired a substantial 28-hectare parcel and transformed it into 324 thoughtfully planned lots. Through considered design, we successfully created an accessible community where residents enjoyed the best of both worlds β the convenience of local schools and retail shopping, all nestled within a charming rural town atmosphere.
The journey began in 2002 when the first stage of Greenhill Estate commenced, with lots selling for an affordable $27,500. Over the years, we watched families build their dreams and establish roots in this welcoming community. Ultimately, Greenhill Estate fulfilled our core people-first mission, successfully delivering accessible housing within a truly inclusive community environment.
Today, Greenhill Estate stands as a testament to thoughtful development β a thriving neighborhood where affordable homeownership became reality for hundreds of families. What makes this community special is how deeply it’s connected to the area’s rich history through its thoughtfully chosen street names.
The street names throughout Greenhill Estate tell a compelling story of the area’s pioneering heritage, honoring the original settlers who shaped Wallan in the 1800s. Each road serves as a lasting tribute to these early families who established their lives in what was then untamed Victorian countryside.
Among these historical tributes, you’ll discover Taylors Lane (J. Taylor), Laffy Street (P. Laffy), McLeod Court (W. McLeod), Alexander Avenue (Alexander McLeod), and Osborne Way (John Osborne) β all honoring the pioneering families who established Wallan’s foundations in the 1800s. The McLeod family legacy is particularly well-represented, reflecting their significant impact on the region’s colonial settlement and growth.
These carefully chosen street names ensure that this centuries families build whom call in Greenhill Estate home will, remain connected to the rich tapestry of those who came before them β creating a bridge between Wallan’s pioneering past and its promising future.
